The term hernia is common when it comes to diseases in the modern world. This is when an inner part of the body like an organ thrusts through a muscle weakness or a tissue wall. There are many kind of hernia that you can come across. One of these types is umbilical hernia.

Umbilical hernia takes place when some of the fatty tissue or bowel nudges into a place near the belly button or navel. This pushes through a spot that is weak in the nearby muscles wall which is also referred to as abdominal wall. This condition is popular in infants and it has been revealed that one in every ten young children is being affected by this problem.
